How Tachymetric Bezels Work

Formula: Speed = Distance / Time × 3600

A tachymeter bezel measures average speed over a known distance. Start the chronograph when passing a distance marker, stop when you've traveled the set distance (default: 1 km). The chronograph hand points to your average speed on the bezel.

Example: If you travel 1 km in 45 seconds, the chronograph hand points to 80 on the bezel = 80 km/h average speed.
